CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN PRESENTS ARTIST JÉRÔME LAGARRIGUE’S "OPTICAL IDENTITIES"
Posted on December 12 2014
Christian Louboutin is presenting an exhibit featuring the art of Jérôme Lagarrigue. The exhibit “Optical Identities” opened December 5th at the entrance of Christian Louboutin’s Miami Women’s Boutique.
"Part of the exhibition features three paintings of Shaun Ross, the albino African American model-muse, whom the artist first met in a Miami hotel lobby a year ago. That chance encounter gave birth to “Visible Man,” Lagarrigue’s previous exhibition in New York City. The Miami exhibit introduces the portraits of two additional muses with whom Lagarrigue has developed a bond. The title, “Optical Identities,” was inspired by sight and the physical action that light plays upon it, through subjects that counter the expectations of traditional beauty."
“Optical Identities” will remain on display until March 2015.
